In the QWS3270 Secure
product, a session name collects all the attributes of a connection with a named 3270 session host. The following connection attributes are associated with a session:
All of the options you can set, with the exception of the Host Name /IP address in the Host Settings dialog, have default values so you don’t have to change them if the defaults work for you.
All options can be specified on a ‘per session’ basis. This means that you can have one session where protected fields are displayed in purple and you would print using that old dot matrix printer you have on your system. With another session you can use the default colours, a printer connected via the network, and have a script defined that runs every time you connect to this session. We will get into all of these options later in this help file but for now let’s take a look at the Connection Settings, which you will use most often.
