QWS3270 Secure
allows you to start new sessions either in tabs or in a new application window. You can turn tabbed sessions on or off in the Application Settings dialog (Options/Application menu).
When tabbed sessions are enabled, you have the option of always showing the tab bar even if only one session is open or to only show the tab bar if more than one session is connected at the same time. You can set this option in the Application Settings dialog. With tabbed sessions disabled you will start new sessions in a new application window just like in previous versions.
You can switch between sessions by clicking on the tab with your mouse or by using the Control-Tab (forward) and Control-Shift-Tab (backward) key combinations. This will use a task switcher that looks and works similar to the well known Windows© Alt-Tab task key combination.
To close a tab (and disconnect that session) you can use the 'X' on the right hand side of each tab or you can double-click the tab. By closing a tab you will automatically disconnect that session from the host.
You can change the tab text and background colours on a 'per-session' basis. This makes identifying a specific session easier. You can also change the order of opened sessions by dragging the tabs to a new position with your mouse.
If you disconnect a session in a tab the tab will stay open and will be re-used for your next connection unless the 'Exit on Disconnect' option is specified for that session (Options/Session/Miscellaneous). In case this option is enabled the tab will close (unless it is the only open tab).
