Scripting Usage Instructions

This section is intended for users who want to create simple scripts for their sessions with mainframe hosts to automate tedious or repetitive tasks.  Be advised that scripts can interfere with other functions and must be created with foresight according to their usage. Also, read the Script Syntax and Guidelines section before proceeding as the JGS Script Editor and script functionality have certain limitations and best uses.

The script engine can make use of several "system" or "built-in" script variables.
