How to Set up QWS3270 Plus for Texas HHSC

Installing QWS3270 Plus:

If you already have an older copy of QWS3270 on your machine, this should be uninstalled before installing a new version.

User should make sure that Cisco AnyConnect VPN client is installed on their machine. User have obtained the credentials (user ID/Password) for VPN which might be different from CARE/HHS credentials and they should be connected to VPN.

QWS3270 Set up steps:

• User double clicks on the QWS3270 ikon.

Open

• QWS3270 application registration page displays as below.

Open

• User enters the software activation key in the blank text box and clicks on the “Register” button.

• QWS3270 window should display like a below example specific to your company’s License.

• User clicks on the QWS3270 Menu option on the top and selects “New Session Wizard”.

• System displays a “New Session Wizard” window.

• User clicks on the “Next” button.

• System requests the user to enter Host name of the computer to connect to the space provided.

• User enters 168.56.69.91 in the first field and leaves the second field blank, then clicks on the “Next” button. System displays a new window with default Port Number “23” User clicks on the “Next” button.

• System asks user to select their preferred size of the 3270 screen. User leaves the default option selected as 24x80 and clicks on the “Next” button.

• Systems asks user to specify the name of new session. User specifies the unique new name for session as ex: “TX HHSC” and clicks on the “Next” button.

• System displays the new window with success message that “You have completed the New Session Wizard.” User clicks on the “Finish” button.

• User clicks on the “Edit” button → Options → Session →Security on the top menu page. System displays a new window to select session options.

• If Texas Care User bought QWS3270 Secure then they need to uncheck “Enable Secure Connection” check box, then, click on “Apply” and “OK” button.

• System displays the main page. User clicks on the QWS3270 and selects “Connect” from the drop down menu. New session name should appear as “TX HHSC”. User again clicks on the “Connect” button.

• System should display Main screen of the Host application (TX State HHSC), similar to the example below.
