Copying, Deleting and Renaming Sessions
The following steps describe these tasks.
How to duplicate a session using Save-As
- Open the 'Connect' dialog by clicking on the QWS3270/Connect menu item.
- Select the session you want to copy in the list box.
- Click on 'Save As.'
- Supply a name to copy the data to. The New Session name dialog appears for this task.
- Click on OK to save this copy or click on Cancel to return to the Connect dialog without saving the copy.
- Click on Edit to modify the connection parameters for this new session if needed.
How to Delete Sessions
- Open the 'Connect' dialog by clicking on the QWS3270/Connect menu item.
- Select the session you want to delete from the list box.
- Click on 'Delete'. Note: Be careful using Delete as there is no confirmation or undo function.
How to Rename an existing Session
- Open the 'Connect' dialog by clicking on the QWS3270/Connect menu item.
- Select the name of the session you want to rename from the session list.
- Click on the 'Rename' button.
- Supply a unique new name for the session.
- Click on OK to save the session under this name or click on cancel to return to the Connect dialog without saving your changes.
Note that the renamed session is not a copy of the original session but rather the original session under a new name.
