The IField type exposes the following members.
Methods

| Attribute | Gets the attribute of the field at the specified position. | |
| GetLength | Gets the length of the field (protected or unprotected) specified by the cursor position. | |
| GetNextLength | Returns the length of the next field of the specified type, starting at the specified screen position. | |
| GetNextPosition | Gets the position of the next field of the specified type, starting at the specified screen position. | |
| GetPosition | Gets the starting position of the field field (of any type) at the specified screen position. | |
| GetPreviousLength | Gets the length of the previous field of the specified FieldType, starting at the specified screen position. | |
| GetPreviousPosition | Gets the position of the previous field with the specified FieldType, starting at the specified screen ScreenPosition. | |
| GetText | Gets the text of the IField at the specified ScreenPosition. | |
| Search | Searches the field at the specified position for the specified text. | |
| SetText | Sets the text of the field at the specified position. |
