Gets the length of the field (protected or unprotected) specified by the cursor position.

Parameters

row
Type: System.Int32
The row position of the field.

column
Type: System.Int32
The column position of the field.

length
Type: System.Int32
The length.

Return Value

The StatusCode indicating the result of the operation.

This can be one of the following values:

Status codeDescription
OkThe length of the specified field was found.
NotConnectedYour application is not currently connected to a host session.
ParameterErrorOne or more of the call parameters are invalid.
InvalidPositionThe position argument specifies an invalid presentation space position.
SystemErrorThe method failed due to a system error.
NoSuchFieldThe specified field was not found, or the host session presentation space is unformatted.
ZeroLengthFieldThe specified field has a length of zero.
