Disable Security Within Session Parameter File

The first step would be to create a session profile. To do this, launch the QWS3270 Secure application and click new. If you have sessions saved already that are being used to distribute to the users, then move onto the steps below.

To disable Security for the QWS3270 Secure application and remove the option for it, follow the below:

1)      Open QWS3270, click on Options menu.

2)      Click on Application and ensure the application is set to ‘Use Session Files’

3)      Next, navigate to C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Jolly Giant Software\QWS3270 Secure

4)      In here you will find a file ‘QWS3270S.jgp’ -This is the Jolly Giant Parameters file

5)      Right click this file and choose edit or open this file in notepad

6)      Add the following parameter to the end of the file and save:

         DisableSecurityProp=1

         This will remove the setting completely from the Options menu

Security Locked ON

1)      Create the default session profile for the users who will NEED Security.

2)      Configure all Security options needed

3)      Follow the above steps to remove the Security option

4)      This will lock security ON and take away the ability to turn it off

Security OFF and Locked

1)      Create the default session profile for the users who will need NOT Security.

2)      Turn Security off through the options menu

3)      Follow the above steps to remove the Security option

4)      This will turn off security and remove the option to enable it
