Recording Keystrokes

To initiate keystroke recording, select "Record Keystrokes…" from the Tools menu.

Either select an existing file or type the name of a new file to save the recorded keystrokes in.

Click on 'Save'. You are returned to the main QWS3270 Secure  window.  Whatever is typed on the keyboard from this time on will be recorded to the file that was just opened until you stop keystroke recording.

NOTE: If you have mapped your keyboard to perform special functions for the session connection that is active or as the default session, the combination key keyface values will be recorded (such as ctrl/w). When you choose replay keystrokes, the functions activated by these keys will be performed according to how they are defined on the host. This means you can type mapped keys to activate a script, a command or a text string.

When you want to stop the recording of keystrokes, select 'Stop Recording' from the tools menu.
