Print and Screen Captures

There are several different ways in QWS3270 Secure to output and save the currently displayed host screen depending on your requirements.  The most common operation is to print the text from the current host screen to a local or network printer.  This is the option covered in this section.  The menu option to start a screen print is 'QWS3270/Print Screen'.  You can also use the corresponding toolbar button.

To select a printer for the Print Screen command, use the Options/Session menu item and click on the printer icon.  The resulting dialog allows you to select a printer as well as set options affecting the print output.


 

 


Besides printing the current host screen text only, you can also:

  • Save the text from the current host screen to a text file; you will be prompted for the name and location of the text file (see 'Screen to Disk' for details)

  • Save a bitmap image of the current QWS3270 PLUS Secure window; you can then paste this image into your favourite image editing program (see 'Copy Image to Clipboard' for more information)

  • Save a bitmap image of the current QWS3270 PLUS Secure window to disk; you will be prompted for the name and location of the image file (see 'Image to Disk' for details)

  • Print multiple screens using a print layout (see 'Print Multiple Screens' and 'Print Layouts' for details)
