Print layout

You can access the Print Layouts dialog by clicking on the options Menu.

This dialog is used to configure your settings for use when printing multiple screens.

Layout Name  -  Enter the name you wish to use for this layout.  You may configure multiple Layouts for use with different hosts and mainframe applications.

Host Application  -  This is the name of the mainframe application and should be visible on all screens.  If you were in an Editor, you would probably see "Edit", and would be a good choice to use.

Row  -  Enter the row number where your entry for Host Application is found.  This also applies to the location for your entries used in First Screen and Last Screen.

First Screen  -  This would be text visible used as an identifier on the first screen.  This is needed as a method to confirm we are at the proper first page to be printed.

Last Screen  -  This would be text visible used as an identifier on the last screen to be printed.  This is needed as a method to confirm we are at the last page to be printed.

Screen Size  -  Select one of the options to match the screen size you are viewing.

First Screen From/First Screen To  -  Enter the row/column locations on the first screen providing the start and end position of the text you wish printed.  All text between and including the provided row column positions will be printed.  All text outside of these points will be omitted.

Remaining Screens From/Remaining Screens To  -  Enter the row/column locations on the remaining screens providing the start and end position of the text you wish printed.  All text between and including the provided row column positions will be printed.  All text outside of these points will be omitted.

3270 Keys  -  Here you would select the corresponding function key to invoke the required action.  In our example we used PF7 and PF8 to invoke page up and page down respectively.

Print Header on First Page Only  -  Select this option if you wish the header to only appear on the fist page to be printed.

Header  -  Enter text that you wish to have displayed at the top of each page printed.  Wild cards may be used, see Wild Cards below.

Footer  -  Enter text that you wish to have displayed at the bottom of each and every page to be printed.  Wild cards may be used, see Wild Cards below.

Wild cards:
&p - page number
&d - short date (12/24/99)
&D - long date (Monday, Dec. 24, 1999)
&t - system time (16:47)
&s - session name
&& - ampersand
&l - left aligned
&c - centered
&r - right aligned

Examples using wild cards:
"
&cDaily Report &D"  would be centered on your page and  appear as:  Daily Report Monday, Aug. 14, 2004
"&rPage &p"  would be printed on the bottom right and appear as  Page 1
