Saving a Screen Image to Disk

The 'Screen Image to Disk' option allows you to save a Windows bitmap image of the QWS3270 Secure window to a disk file.  You can use screen images for employee training purposes or for sharing information with other users.  Screen images can also be very helpful for technical support when you need to show details of a problem not easily explained with words alone.  Unlike the 'Screen to Disk' command, which will only save the text from the currently displayed host screen, the 'Screen Image to Disk' will capture the whole QWS3270 Secure window as an image including the title bar and frame.

To save an image of the QWS3270 Secure screen for later use, choose the 'QWS3270/Screen Image to Disk' menu item.  Enter the name for the image or select an existing one if you want to overwrite it.  The resulting bitmap image can be viewed with almost any graphics editor such as Windows Paint.

You do not have to be connected to a host to use the 'Screen Image to Disk' command.
