Changing Mouse Options


The mouse options dialog allows you to change the way the mouse behaves in QWS3270 Secure.  Define what you want to happen when you click or double-click either the left or right mouse button.

 

 

To change the mouse options, first select the left or right mouse button to change and whether you want the action to occur on single- or double clicks.  Then select one of the available options.  Note that different options may be available depending on options already selected.

  • No Action
     - The mouse click is ignored, the cursor is not moved.

  • Move Cursor
     - The cursor is moved to the location of the mouse click.

  • Hot Spots
     - If the word under the mouse location contains text that is recognized by the program as a hotspot (PF1-PF24,  PA1-PA3, CLEAR or ENTER by default), then execute the associated action.  Otherwise, the cursor is moved to mouse click location and the ENTER key is simulated.

  • Cursor Select Key
     - The cursor is moved to the current mouse location and the Cursor Select key is simulated.

  • Context Menu
     - Display the applications context menu.  Depending on whether the application is currently connected to a host, the context menu will contain different items.

  • Copy Word
     - Copies the word under the mouse pointer to the current cursor location.

  • Copy Word, Key Enter
     - Copies the word under the mouse pointer to the current cursor location and then simulates the ENTER key.

  • Move Cursor, Key Enter
     - Moves the cursor to the location of the mouse pointer and then simulates the ENTER key.

  • Function  - Choose a function (such as CLEAR, ENTER, PF1, etc.) from a list, and assign it to the mouse click.

  • Wheel Functions
     - You may assign key functions to the wheel mouse, roll up, roll down actions.  By clicking on the adjacent Edit button, you will presented with a dialog to make your selection from.
